Fergus has been obsessed with golf since he was knee-high to a 3-iron. Growing up in Aberdeenshire, then studying history at the university of St Andrews before becoming a golf writer and historian, the sport is an integral part of his life.

Since 2004 he has predominantly worked for Golf Monthly, writing and presenting on a variety of topics. Fergus is the co-host of the 18 Majors podcast and has written articles and books as well as delivering speeches at world-famous golf clubs on the stories behind the game.
