Mike has been involved in journalism all his working life, starting out as a football writer with Goal magazine in the 1990s before moving into lifestyle publishing, including Men’s Health and The Sunday Times. In 2003 he joined Golf Monthly and three years later would become only the eighth editor in the publication’s 113-year history.

In 2020 he was appointed Content Director for ball sports at Future Plc overseeing all aspects of Golf Monthly’s editorial and commercial output, along with two other iconic sports brands, FourFourTwo and Rugby World.

Mike has a passion for golf courses (he’s played over 500 worldwide) and golf shoes (he owns more pairs than he is prepared to admit). He is a member of seven golf clubs, including Royal Liverpool, Prince’s, Hartley Wintney and the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.

Chris brings over 15 years’ expertise in high-end fashion and design, including leading the FootJoy design department. With a versatile skill set spanning website design, product photography, shoot direction, ad trafficking, and catalogue creation, Chris consistently delivers exceptional results across diverse creative disciplines.

This breadth of experience allows Chris to guide creative teams with precision, ensuring all content aligns seamlessly with brand guidelines and communicates key messages effectively.

Combining a deep knowledge of golf with a refined design sensibility, cultivated both within and beyond the industry, Chris has spearheaded some of FootJoy’s most innovative and impactful launches. Passionate about pushing creative boundaries, Chris is dedicated to delivering bold, memorable work that drives excellence and innovation.

Alex first stepped into the world of journalism 25 years ago, working his way up from regional Press to senior positions at the Daily Telegraph and Press Association – covering all sports with a special focus on features, editing and commissioning.

Along the way, he would spend eight years as Managing Editor of Golf Monthly – assuming responsibility for the day-to-day running of the magazine and playing a key role in its evolution from the UK’s number one print publication into the global, multi- platform media brand that it is today.

In recent years, he has made the transition from working in consumer media to agency PR, content and marketing, with expertise in the golf travel market. Alex has a deep passion for golf but an even deeper passion for seeing good ideas and storytelling come to life, with an extensive contacts book across traditional and modern media.

Paul has been around golf his entire life, taking up the game at the age of 10 before working in the industry for the past 17 years. Following a journalism degree, Paul combined his passions for both writing and golf by joining Golf Monthly magazine as an intern.

He went on to spend seven years with the brand, taking on a variety of roles that gave him the opportunity to travel the world and write about golf equipment, instruction, courses and everything in between. This was followed by a decade working for FootJoy in a role that evolved from UK marketing executive to EMEA marketing manager, becoming deeply involved in global launches and campaigns.

Paul’s love for the game and a constant search for goosebump-inducing creative has resulted in a golfer-first mentality that consistently brings outstanding results.

Rachel has spent over a decade working across the golf industry, building a career spanning marketing, events and partnerships. Her experience included roles with EventScotland, ClubGolf and Scottish Golf, before moving into luxury golf travel with boutique tour operator Bonnie Wee Golf. She is a graduate of the R&A Women in Golf Leadership Programme.

During her time in golf travel, Rachel built strong relationships with leading championship courses while also helping lesser-known venues increase visitor numbers through curated, experience-led itineraries. This gave her a deep understanding of what golfers value most, from authentic storytelling to seamless delivery both on and off the course.

Alongside this, Rachel worked with AXV Audio Visual, applying her events expertise to the delivery of high-profile, professionally produced experiences. A beginner golfer herself, she is also a co-founder of The Links Network, a growing community supporting women working in golf.
